Future Reflections lädt dazu ein, sich den Wechselwirkungen von Gegenwart und Zukunft bewusst zu werden und die eigene Rolle im Gefüge der Zeit zu reflektieren.
Future Reflections ist eine Ausstellung, die sich mit der Reflexion über Zukunft als Gedankenspiel beschäftigt. Der Titel selbst birgt ein sprachliches Paradoxon: Reflection erfordert die Auseinandersetzung mit Vergangenem, während Future den Blick nach vorne richtet. Diese Spannung bildet den Kern der Ausstellung, die Fragen zu Verantwortung, medizinischem Fortschritt, Konsum und Technologie aufwirft: Was geschieht in der nächsten Sekunde? Können wir das Zukünftige im Jetzt antizipieren und (positiv) beeinflussen – oder bleibt uns nur die nachträgliche Reflexion über das Gegenwärtige?
Werke der Baloise Sammlung von Candida Höfer, Paula Santomé, Elise Corpataux, Jeff Wall und weiteren treten in einen Dialog mit eingeladenen Künstler*innen wie Jiajia Zhang, Lux Valladolid oder Louisa Gagliardi. Ergänzt wird die Ausstellung durch Performances.

Future Reflections invites visitors to become aware of the interactions between the present and the future and to reflect on their own role in the structure of time.
Future Reflections is an exhibition that deals with reflection on the future as a mind game. The title itself harbours a linguistic paradox: Reflection requires an examination of the past, while Future looks to the future. This tension forms the core of the exhibition, which raises questions about responsibility, medical progress, consumption and technology: What happens in the next second? Can we anticipate and (positively) influence the future in the present – or are we only left to reflect on the present after the fact?
Works from the Baloise Collection by Candida Höfer, Paula Santomé, Elise Corpataux, Jeff Wall and others enter into a dialogue with invited artists such as Jiajia Zhang, Lux Valladolid and Louisa Gagliardi. The exhibition will be complemented by performances.
